B&B Castello is ready to welcome you at the number 9 of Piazza Rosario, in the heart of Sassari's historical center. Rooms are placed on the fifth floor of an ancient building recently refurbished. Thanks to position it's possible reaching by foot the major attractions of the city like Piazza d'Italia, Piazza Castello and the ruins of the its old castle,Piazza Azuni,theatres and university.

The enviroments of the house are exclusive, with a remarkable relationship price/quality. The rooms, which are reach also by an elevator, are spacious, furnished again and have a private bathroom.Wide windows (some overlooks on Piazza Castello) make room bright and clear.

Visiting and living the city and its province, means to be ready to know suggestive places that maybe are not much "popular" respect to others, but not for this they are less interesting. A few steps from b&b it's possibile to see the remains of Aragonese Castle, also know as "Barbacane", the Brigata Sassari museum and Piazza d'Italia with his ancient builidings. Move at few blocks away you can visit Cattedrale di San Nicola the massive cathedral of the city,which was builded between the XII and XVII century embracing various architectural styles (Romanic - Gothic - Reinassance - Baroque ); out of town well worth a visit the Monte d'Accoddi Prenuragic Altar (nowadays the only monument for type of construction throughout the Mediterranean; if you want going to Alghero it is advisable a visit at Headland of Capo Caccia, where the sun rays are mixed with the crystalline waters of the Alghero's Bay, making unique every sunset.

B&B Il Castello is situated in LTZ (Limited Traffic Zone): free traffic all day from 9.00am to 10.30am and from 7.00pm to 12.00pm. A few meters from the property are the underground car parks of the Emiciclo Garibaldi and Piazza Fiume (open 24 hours a day) available.The area is well served by public transport which are the stops are few distance by the property.(for more information visit the website www.atpsassari.it)

Events and traditions

CAVALCATA SARDA (penultimate Sunday of May) - It's a traditional parade of sardinian dresses, organized for the first time in 1899 in honor of the king Umberto I and the queen Margherita, that have come in visit in the city

DISCESA DEI CANDELIERI (14th august) - Created in 1652 in honor of the Virgin Mary that had freed the town by an epidemic plague, it's a dancing procession that passes through the city center from Piazza Castello to church of Santa Maria di Betlem. During this path, 11 wooden candlesticks are brought by shoulders by a 8 men. Follow any years by more then 100.000 people, has been named UNESCO Intangible Heritage, in the 2013
